Basically, when her husband, the King of the Iceni died, the Romans decided that it was their 'right' to take over all of the Iceni lands. They whipped Boudicca and raped her teenaged daughters, and all of their belongings taken into Roman pocession.
Nice, huh?

I know the story ... but what is our ancient source for the story? Is it Tacitus?
